Programmes

What I offer schools

After-school Mandarin clubs

Regular clubs for primary or secondary pupils, combining spoken Mandarin, characters and culture. Content can build towards YCT or GCSE where the school would like a qualification route.

Beginner Mandarin sessions

Speaking, listening, songs and games for pupils who are completely new to Mandarin.

Chinese culture workshops

Lantern making, paper cutting, calligraphy, dumpling making, Chinese chess, stories and games, and Zen tea (禅茶).

Enrichment and festival activities

Chinese New Year and other festival days, and workshops for a class or a whole year group.

Ages

Who sessions are for

Sessions are adapted for pupils from early years to sixth form, for complete beginners and existing Mandarin learners.

Arrangements

How we plan a programme

  1. Tell me what you have in mind: the type of activity, year groups, approximate pupil numbers and preferred term or dates.
  2. We agree the details: session length, frequency, venue, materials and any safeguarding requirements, in line with your school’s policies.
  3. I send a proposal and quote for the programme we have discussed.

Session length, group size, materials and price depend on the programme, so they are agreed with each school rather than listed here.
