Questions about GCSE Mandarin revision
How is the GCSE Mandarin speaking exam structured?
The speaking exam has three parts: a role play, a task based on a photo or picture, and a general conversation on two themes. You have supervised preparation time before the exam. Each topic page includes photo card and conversation questions with Higher model answers.
How should I use these topic resources to revise?
Learn the key vocabulary with pinyin first, then choose two or three grammar structures to use in your answers. Read each model answer out loud, change the details so it is true for you, and record yourself. You can download each topic as a Word document.
Are these resources suitable for Foundation students?
The model answers are written for Higher tier, but Foundation students can use the vocabulary, grammar and the first sentences of each answer. Start with short answers and add a reason or opinion when you feel ready.
